has anyone used an online service to find a babysitter?

I am in need of a babysitter, but the people who usually sit for me are unavailable. I am thinking of using one of the online services, but am unsure if these are reliable or if they are scams. Has anyone had experience using one of these services and if so can you recommend a particular service.

    I have used craigslist.com which is pretty good. It is not all “online”. It is like an only newspaper ads. You click where you live, and they post an ad and then you call or email them. I called mine and asked her if I could meet her in person first, and she was fine with that.

    It is nice to have an online place that I feel is safe.
